Why Obama is a cultural Muslim

President Obama is betraying the Jews. He is a cultural Muslim whose sympathies lie with the Islamic world in its life-death struggle against Israel. Unless American Jews wake up and speak out against Mr. Obama’s pro-Arab, anti-Israel policies, the Jewish state faces a possible nuclear war – and even annihilation.

Mr. Obama met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week. The goal: to repair the public rift in relations between Washington and Jerusalem.

Iron Dome test in South successful

Missile interception system to start operating in coming weeks. Israel inched a step closer recently to deploying a missile defense system along the border with the Gaza Strip after the Iron Dome system successfully intercepted a number of missile barrages in tests.

The tests were overseen by the Defense Ministry, the Israel Air Force and the Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. which developed the Iron Dome, slated to be declared operational in the near future.

The missile barrages that the system succeeded in intercepting included a number of rockets that mimicked Kassam and longer-range Gradmodel Katyusha rockets that are known to be in Hamas’s arsenal.

The Iron Dome is supposed to be capable of intercepting all of the short-range rockets in fired by Hamas in the Gaza Strip and by Hizbullah in southern Lebanon. The Iron Dome uses an advanced radar – made by Elta – that locates and tracks the rocket, which is then intercepted by a kinetic missile interceptor.

IDF increases, enhances its urban warfare training centers

“Within 10 minutes a unit can erect an entire city,” explained TGM executive Dinor Shavit. “Units can practice urban warfare scenarios including hand-to-hand combat within the newly-erected structure without worrying that it will fall down.”
Recognizing that the next battles with Hizbullah and Hamas will be fought in densely populated areas, the IDF is significantly increasing the number of urban warfare centers it has to train troops for future complex operations.

The Ground Forces Command recently approved plans to increase the number of urban warfare training centers by 50 percent by the end of 2011. Currently, there are about 15 different training centers scattered throughout the country, the largest of which is located near the Tze’elim Base in the Negev.

Israel will accept international role in flotilla probe, officials say

Israeli officials said Friday they will accept international participation in their investigation into the deadly boarding of the Turkish flotilla ship destined for Gaza.

Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, said his country will announce “in the next few days” the composition of the commission it is forming to look into what happened on board the ship that was trying to bring aid to Gaza.

Israeli officials, speaking on background because of the diplomatic sensitivity of the subject, told CNN there will be international participation in that investigation, but could not confirm speculation that an American might be part of the investigation.

The United States continues to talk to the Israelis about potential U.S. participation, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters Friday. Asked whether the United States would support a U.N. resolution calling for a U.N.-led investigation, Crowley said, “We are not aware of any resolution that will be introduced at the U.N. next week.”

A number of countries have urged that Israel allow the United Nations to investigate. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, speaking Thursday in Washington, called for an international commission, saying “Israel cannot investigate itself.”

When apologies aren’t enough

Why we should not forgive Helen Thomas.

In the aftermath of the Helen Thomas fiasco, the bloggers and the pundits and the second-guessers are having a field day.

Why are we harassing her, they ask, just because she happened to respond to a rabbinic interviewer on the lawn of the White House with the kind of vitriolic anti-Semitic venom worthy of Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels in his heyday? Yes, she did say Jews should get the hell out of Palestine and go back to the places they came from like Germany and Poland, (although she would probably concede that 6 million of them would be spared making the trip because they are already interred there as victims of the Holocaust).

But that’s not the point, we’re beginning to hear from some in the media. She may have said something that’s unjustifiable, but come on, she did finally apologize.

When faced with public outcry and the realization that she had gone too far for any kind of reasonable defense, she managed to come up with this remarkable supposed expression of contrition: “I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”

The lethal vacancy on the battleground of the mind

In the wake of the Turkish terrorist flotilla incident, Charles Moore has made the blindingly obvious point — so obvious that the people who most need to acknowledge it are the last people on earth to do so. It is that those who defend Israel are undercut by Israel’s own utterly lamentable inability to make its case properly to the world. Moore writes:

Israel has fought so long, and usually so well, in real battles, but it seems to have forgotten how to fight in verbal ones. On the day of the flotilla incident, all the outraged governments were on the airwaves almost before anything had happened. But it took five and a half hours before the Israeli Ambassador in America appeared in public. Quite a lot of articulate people spoke up in Israel’s support – it really will be a black day when there are no articulate people to be found to defend the Jewish state – but they had no clear, coordinated, Israeli government message, and so their ‘innumerable guns’ were pointing in different directions.

Those troublesome Jews

Israel: At least 9 pro-Palestinian activists killed on Gaza flotilla carrying aid Israeli naval commandos seized an aid flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip early Monday, killing at least nine and wounding dozens, and sparking protests and condemnations around the world.

The world is outraged at Israel’s blockade of Gaza. Turkey denounces its illegality, inhumanity, barbarity, etc. The usual U.N. suspects, Third World and European, join in. The Obama administration dithers.

Ayers, Dorhn helped organize ‘peace’ flotilla

“Dohrn said that the principle of ‘All or none’ was a miserable one for activist politics. You always took what you could get and kept fighting for more. A European man in a red keffiyeh screamed at her that she was serving the fascisti. Her partner Bill Ayers gently confronted him and asked him why he was so out of control. Between getting on and off the bus, Dohrn, who wore a flower in her hair, said that she didn’t like the absolutist certainty of the people on the other side of the police barricades, and having been in the Weather Underground, she knew something about absolutist feeling.”
It’s not like these people don’t have enough blood on their hands already:

Former Weather Underground leaders William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Code Pink founder Jodie Evans, helped organize the Free Gaza Movement, which launched the six-ship flotilla from Turkey to Israel that ended in a violent clash with Israeli Defense Forces, BigGovernment.com reported. In January, the trio were spotted in Egypt attempting to stir up crowds on the streets with 1,400 other left-wing activists after the Egyptian government refused to allow Free Gaza Movement members to enter the Gaza Strip. About 100 marchers were eventually allowed to cross the border, where they were met by former Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh.

BigGovernment quotes author Philip Weiss, who wrote that he witnessed Ayers and Dohrn arguing with fellow activists over whether to accept Egypt’s offer to allow a small number of them into Gaza:

Recipe for a new blood libel

I love watching Israel being exonerated. It has happened time and again over the years: Israel’s enemies falsely level blood libels against the Jews, the reflexively anti-Israel news media snatches and runs – exhilarated – with the story, spreading the perverted version of events far and wide. Sooner or later their “reporting” is shown to be inaccurate if not downright false, and Israel is absolved.

Not that this makes much difference to those who hate Zion(ism) – of course. But it is music to the ears and eyes of those who love Israel.

The attempt Monday morning by Israel’s navy to enforce its blockade of the Gaza Strip terrorist mini-state is just the latest example. There is no telling what distortions you may have heard, but let me lay out how it was.

Sarah Palin defends Israel on Facebook

And she has all the facts and is up to date. I listened to Glen Beck Radio Show today and he also had everything right and he also talked about the video. He is going to show it on his 5:00 show today.

“Three ships of that six-ship pro-terror convoy flew Turkish flags and were crowded with Turkish citizens. The Ankara government — led by Islamists these days — sponsored the “aid” operation in a move to position itself as the new champion of the Palestinians. And Turkish decision-makers knew Israel would have to react — and were waiting to exploit the inevitable clash. The provocation was as cynical as it was carefully orchestrated.”
#imag1 Israeli Flotilla: Don’t Take Mainstream Media Coverage at Face Value

The media, as usual, seems to be reporting only one side of the Israeli Flotilla incident. Don’t trust the mainstream media to give you both sides of a story fairly… you must seek out fair reporting to ensure you have all the information.
