Is Google running the world (or Trying To)?

Whoever controls the gates of the Internet and the flow of its information controls the world — and right now, Google, with its massive reach, is in control.

But the immense — and growing — power of America’s search giant poses risks for privacy and competition, and raises the question, Is Google too big?

Islam on the rise, compliments of Obama

“He’s sent many signals that Islam is on the rise in America and that he’s fine with it,” Knight points out. “And I think these groups are feeling emboldened that they can step out of the shadows and proclaim that they are working for establishment of sharia law, which is entirely unconstitutional by our standards. But they feel so emboldened that they can hold public conferences and proclaim the fall of capitalism and the rise of Islam.”
A conservative political activist says President Obama’s pro-Islamic leanings are to blame for radical Islamic groups becoming so emboldened that they are openly holding conferences on U.S. soil calling for the establishment of a global Islamic empire.

On July 11 the radical Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir America (HTA) will hold its second annual “Global Campaign for Khilafah” in a Chicago suburb to call for an end to capitalism and to hype the virtues of an Islamic state ruled by strict sharia law. Last year’s gathering — themed “Fall of Capitalism & Rise of Islam” — drew about 500 people, but this year the group has reserved an 11,000-square-foot ballroom, hoping to draw more than a thousand participants. This year’s event is billed “Emerging World Order: How the Khilafah Will Shape the World.”

HTA is an extremist organization which wants to establish a global Khilafah. The group has been described by the president of American Islamic Forum for Democracy as “a conveyor belt to terror” and a former member as believing that “homosexuals should be thrown off the highest building.” Among its alumni are 9/11 mastermind Kalid Sheik Mohammed and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the one-time leader of al-Qaida in Iraq. “Our team members are at the forefront of developments in the Islamic finance industry,” Hogan Lovells boasts. “We help set standards for the sector. We have also advised on numerous first-of-their-kind transactions, such as the first convertible Sukuk, the first equity-linked Sukuk, the first Shariah-compliant securitization, the first international Sukuk al-mudaraba and Sukuk al-musharaka, the first Sukuk buyback and the first Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency guaranteed Islamic project financing.”
Obama selects Muslim expert in Islamic transactions as fellow

The Obama administration has announced its appointment of 13 White House fellows – and the first person featured on its short list is a Muslim attorney who specializes in Shariah-compliant transactions

‘Allahu akbar!’ shouted as Christians cuffed

Witness: ‘I never thought I would see this in America’

Four Christians were arrested and thrown out of a public Arab festival in Michigan – and at least two people claim a crowd cheered “Allahu akbar!” while the Christians were led away in handcuffs for doing nothing more than engaging in peaceful dialogue and videotaping the event.

Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla and 18-year-old Negeen Mayel attended the 15th annual Dearborn Arab International Festival on June 18 in Dearborn, Mich., where an estimated 30,000 of the city’s 98,000 residents are Muslim.

The American Arab Chamber of Commerce announced the event was expected to draw “over 300,000 people from across the country, Canada and the Middle East.” The festival covers 14 blocks and is free and open to the public.

Qureshi and Mayel are former Muslims who are now Christians. Mayel’s parents emigrated from Afghanistan. Wood is a former atheist. All are from a Christian group called Acts 17 Apologetics.

In the following video after the arrest, Qureshi said his group took “extra precautions” to prevent disruptions by not handing out pamphlets and to speak only to people “who first approached us”:

Nazi philosophy in today’s America

It is an American custom of the day to assign the label “Nazi” to any ideological opponent. Those who do so know very little about Naziism and are more closely related to the National Socialists than to our Founding Fathers. Nazis are not fascists but belong to global socialism, a section of the radical left. I grew up during the Nazi regime, and following are some current developments that remind me of that time.

The Nazi intent was to throw God out of society. The Gestapo was posted outside church doors trying to intimidate us. Christians were told by the Nazis that we could pray and sing hymns in our homes and churches, but the rules and control of society were the exclusive responsibility of the state, that is, the German National Socialist Workers Party alone. Here, the White House, Congress and the judiciary allow the ACLU to destroy the fundamentals of our founding. The Nazis and their modern counterparts in government in the U.S. realized that their control of government would be difficult if people were obedient to a higher authority – God. The international socialists, the Soviets, had come to the same conclusion.

Generals write Obama on Israel

50 retired U.S. generals and admirals tell Obama in a no nonsense letter that Israel is a security asset for the U.S. The next time someone tries to throw the nonsensical argument that sometimes Israel just needs some “tough love” to get it “back on track” or that treating the Jewish state like an immature child that needs be made to sit in the corner, is somehow beneficial to anyone — tell them to go argue with these 50 retired admirals and generals. .

They decided to do something in response to the recent ridiculous treatment Israel has gotten from the Obama administration. This group of about 50 retired United States generals and admirals put together the following letter urging him as well as Congress and the general American public to recognize how truly intertwined Israel’s success is with America’s

Arizona has it right

In the absence of any real border enforcement by the federal government, Arizona rightfully took matters into their own hands and passed a law that whereby Arizona cops can demand to see immigration papers from people they stop.

Good for Arizona. Other states, especially border states, should follow their lead.

Obama, Israel and the Genesis prediction

Most observers, right or left, pro-Israel or anti-Israel, would agree that Israeli-American relations are the worst they have been in memory. Among the many indications is that only 9 percent of Jewish Israelis think President Barack Obama’s administration is more pro-Israel than pro-Palestinian, according to a Smith Research poll taken during the last week of March on behalf of the Jerusalem Post. Given how much Israelis love and admire (and emigrate to) America, this level of mistrust is all the more remarkable.

An imperial presidency In the making?

Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal carried a story entitled “Obama Steps Up Confrontation.” It said in part, “On Thursday, the president challenged Republicans who planned to campaign on repealing his health-care bill with, ‘Go for it.’ Two days later, he made 15 senior appointments without Senate consent, including a union lawyer whose nomination had been blocked by a filibuster.

Israel’s new enemy: America?

“Enemy: “a person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent.”
Despite Vice President Joe Biden’s recent pledge of unswerving fidelity to Israel during his recent visit there, the rhetoric and pressure directed by the Obama administration against the only fully functioning democracy in the Middle East more accurately resembles the behavior of an enemy. Increasingly under this administration — but also present in Republican administrations — America’s policy toward Israel is full of “harmful designs” and “antagonistic activities.” The intentions may not be deliberate, but the outcome would lead to the same injurious end.
