I was surfing through the Washington Times Website and came across an
article by Bill Gertz, about the sacking of Stephen Coughlin, the
“Pentagon specialist on Islamic Law and Islamist extremism.” The
article gave me chills....chills of fear.
I think that I could more deal with the "in your face" attacks of 9/11,
rather than with the insidious fungus/mold that is spreading throughout
all levels of our society. Ask the folks who experience mold in their
homes. It silently and amorphously spreads, inch by inch, until the
homeowner flees.
By the time the mold of “Islamist extremism,” finishes the process, we
will not be able to flee the US. The other countries will have already
been “molded.”
No, I am not bashing folks of the Muslim faith. I would definitely like
to bash, and not just figuratively, those folks who, with their and
their “aiders” and abettors, want us to convert or die, and are
determined to take us back to the 7th century or earlier. They are
using, as their very effective weapons, our system of government, our
laws, our freedoms, our marketing systems, our First Amendment Rights,
our currency (well, maybe now the Euro), our everything...and we are
letting them. Mon Dieu!
America, “land of the free and home of the brave”...Are the only brave
ones the men and women on the front lines, losing their limbs and
lives, while we sip eggnog, guzzle champagne, and wallow in our
political correctness? I am speaking from the perspective of an
ordinary citizen who is becoming increasingly alarmed at the foibles
and faux pas of those responsible for my safety as an American citizen.
Was it Mr. Coughlin who plowed that plane into the very Pentagon, where
he is being given his walking papers? Was it Mr. Coughlin who strapped
himself into an aircraft, turned it into a missile, and snuffed out
almost 3000 ordinary folks on that fateful day of 9/11/2001? Let's see.
Maybe it was Mr. Coughlin who made the first attempt on the World Trade
Center about five years earlier. He wasn't? OK, he must have been the
one who killed mainly Africans when those two American embassies were
blown up. He wasn't? He was responsible for the attack on the USS Cole.
No? Then why is he being treated as if he is the one who has
transformed his job description into “practitioner of Islamist
extremism?”
Maybe it is this incurable desire of mine for self preservation that
makes me want him to become the best that he can be at his job, where
he can sniff the air and locate the real practitioners of “Islamist
extremism.” I want him to become so skilled that he is featured in one
of those famous video appearances, where the real extremists threaten
to kill anyone who is sane and rational, and good at rooting them out.
I try to take away lessons from any situations I encounter, or any
stories/articles that I read. The lesson that I am taking away from
this is: Do your job too well, and you suffer “extreme prejudice.”
So the advice I have to offer Mr. Coughlin is: Next time, “go with the
flow; be onboard with the politically correct and expedient way of
doing the job; see no evil, hear no evil, (even when ‘evil’ is staring
you in the face).” Now, this type of job performance could personally
benefit Mr. Coughlin. It could even get him a promotion. The only
downside to this nice corporate scenario is that folks like me could
once again pay with our lives.
I do not want to be part of a means of population control, at the hands
of “Islamists extremists,” unwittingly aided and abetted by fellow
citizens of mine, ensconced in their well-appointed offices with a view
of the city, the same city that could be wiped out because they refused
to see the signs that say "mold."
It is ironic that I am listening to a song called "Cry OutTo Jesus."
Even He must have His iPod plugged into another tune. I wish that I had
the courage to ditch all of the material stuff and become Paula Revere,
traveling along the side of the road, sounding out the warning. Alas, I
have become too accustomed to the 21st century. So, all I can do at
this point is write and forward.
Ercille I. Christmas was born in the tiny Caribbean island of St.
Kitts, the “Gibraltar of the Caribbean. She is thrilled to be an
American citizen, living in “the land of the free and the home of the
brave." Formerly a supervisor in the insurance industry, her life
changed on September 11, 2001, and she has devoted every minute since
then, to speaking and writing about the threat that Islamic terrorism
and internal anti-American behavior pose to our country. Her book,
“Thoughts of a Proud American," can be bought on Amazon.com, and she
also blogs at www.Ercillesworld.com and www.Ercillesuniverse.com.
