Should the United States relinquish its sovereignty and form a North
American Union with Canada and Mexico? If the socialists have their
way, this will happen without you being aware of it or having the
opportunity to vote on it.
Let me explain. The direction of American foreign policy is not
developed by our elected representatives but by private organizations
which determine policy agendas. The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR),
established in 1921, is considered the most influential organization in
setting the public foreign policy agenda. As a matter of fact, this is
one of its stated purposes. Go to www.cfr.org or www.wikipedia.org and
type in “Council on Foreign Relations” and view its mission statement.
The CFR is not a small Washington think tank. It has over 3,700
lifetime members, all of whom are influential in their fields. Some
notable members are former Presidents George Bush, Jimmy Carter and
Bill Clinton, Vice President Dick Cheney, Former Chairmen of the
Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan and Paul Volker, General Colin Powell,
leftist billionaire George Soros, television journalists Tom Brokaw and
Barbara Walters, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and former
Ambassador to the United Nations Madeline Albright, just to name a
few.
In May 2005, the CFR issued a Task Force Report entitled “Building a
North American Community.” The central recommendation of this report
was the establishment of a North American Community by 2010, under the
guise of enhancing security and economic opportunity. This report is
available on the CFR website.
Two months earlier, on March 31, 2005, President George Bush, President
Vicente Fox of Mexico, and Prime Minister of Canada Paul Martin signed
a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, advancing the
agenda laid out in the aforementioned CFR report.
The report proposes creating a perimeter around North America. Once
access has been achieved through this perimeter, an individual would
then have unhindered movement. According to the report, this would lay
the groundwork for “the free flow of people within North America and
the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these
travelers in North America.” Further, the report encourages that
government “eliminate all barriers to the ability of their citizens to
live and work in the other countries of North America,” which “would
offer an important advantage to employers in both countries.”
This is the reason President Bush and other political leaders refuse to
enforce and strengthen our immigration policy. The truth of the matter
is, they are working to usher in a North American Community which would
eliminate any immigration restrictions for Mexicans traveling to the
United States. This is why the currently proposed immigration bill in
Congress is in fact an amnesty bill which would ultimately grant
citizenship to illegal immigrants. This dovetails into the plans
proposed by the CFR, which would make all of us citizens of “North
America.”
The socialists created the European Union (EU) by incremental changes.
