View Article  Missing Bees, Cell Phones and Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy
MEDIA ADVISORY, April 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- Bees have been disappearing at an alarming rate. Learn how these missing bees relate to the use of cell phones, and the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
David Bradshaw has endured countless stings during his life as a beekeeper, but he got the shock of his career when he opened his boxes in January 2007 and found half of his 100 million bees missing.
In 24 states throughout the United States, beekeepers have gone through similar shocks as their bees have been disappearing inexplicably at an alarming rate, threatening not only their livelihoods but also the production of numerous crops, including California almonds, one of the nation's most profitable.
Pennsylvania beekeeper Dave Hackenberg was the first beekeeper to report to bee researchers what's become known as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).
The sudden mysterious losses are highlighting the critical link that honeybees play in the long chain that gets fruit and vegetables to supermarkets and dinner tables across the country.
Beekeepers have fought regional bee crises before, but this is the first national affliction.
A Cornell University study has estimated that honeybees annually pollinate more than $14 billion worth of seeds and crops ...   more »

GUNFREE ZONES ARE A MURDERER’S DREAM
by Ted Nugent
Zero tolerance huh? Gun Free Zones huh? Try this on for size; Columbine-gun free zone. NYC pizza shop-gun free zone. Pearl H.S. MS-gun free zone. Luby’s cafeteria-gun free zone. Amish School in PA-gun free zone. VA Tech University-gun free zone. Anybody see what the evil Sarah Brady and her denial infested gun banning cult have created? I personally have zero tolerance for evil and denial. And America had best wake up real fast that the brain-dead celebration of unarmed helplessness will get you killed every time, and I’ve about had enough of it.
Conversely, at the Salt Lake City shopping mall, as occurs every day in varying degrees in this country, the American citizen with a gun in his belt stopped a violent murderer from killing more innocent victims. The high schooler in Springfield OR who ran to his pickup truck and retrieved his .22 squirrel rifle halted a runaway murderer from turning his school into a Columbine tragedy. Recently, just a few miles up the road from VA Tech, two college students also ran to their truck to fetch their legally owned firearm to stop a madman from slaughtering ...   more »
View Article  'Walking on balls' therapy from Israel alleviates knee joint pain

For two decades, Yael Duvdevany suffered terrible knee and joint problems. The retired nurse from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, a chronic disease that causes the cushioning (cartilage) between the bone joints to wear away, leading to pain and stiffness. It can also cause new pieces of bone, called bone spurs, to grow around the joints.
"I had severe pain when walking long distances," Duvdevany told ISRAEL21c from her Tel Aviv home where she moved upon retirement.
But over the last year, Duvdevany has experienced a physical rebirth and today can go for long walks and even two-hour workouts without feeling knee pain. She credits a unique walking system invented by two Israeli physicians specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation for her new condition.
The APOS system, developed by APOS Medical and Sports Technologies Ltd. of Herzliya, looks like a makeshift type of rollerskate - with two half-balls protruding from the shoe's base. But it's anything but a toy.
Developed over eight years by Drs. Amit Mor and Avi Elbaz (from the Assaf Harofe Medical Center in Tel Aviv), the APOS shoe has been clinically proven to both improve the patient's gait and alleviate the pain in ...   more »
View Article  Appeasement never brings peace
In 1967, against all the odds, Israel beat back the combined efforts of the Arab Legions to destroy the Jewish state, and in the process captured the territory on West Bank of the Jordan River from Jordan and the Gaza Strip from Egypt.
It was an astonishing and unexpected victory. Outnumbered many times to one, the Israelis cut through the combined armies of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Jordan, Algeria, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia like a hot knife through butter.
In only six days, Israel found itself in possession of the whole of Jerusalem, the biblical territories of Judea and Samaria, the Golan Heights and the Sinai. It was nothing short of a miraculous victory.
I believe that God gave that land back to the Israelites in accordance with His covenant with them. But then they began to trust in everything except their God to keep the nation at peace.
(Column continues below)
The first act of appeasement was to give away the Sinai in exchange for a "cold peace" with Egypt. The architect of that agreement, Anwar Sadat, was assassinated for making peace with Israel. There was dancing in the streets all over the Muslim world as they rejoiced ...   more »
View Article  Man's Genetically Modified Food Supply… and Lo, a Black Horse…

In 1798 Thomas Malthus predicted that population would increase by exponential progression while agrarian growth would progress at an arithmetic or lineal rate thus causing catastrophic degeneration and inevitable famine and plague. Though Malthus’ solutions were reflective of societal morality, his conclusions were based on economic ratios where geometric progression always exceeds linear expansion.
While Thomas Maltus errantly applied his Essay on the Principle of Population to nineteenth century Europe, his predictions seem eerily prescient and applicable to recent global agricultural, environmental, political and scientific events.
As recently as twenty years ago, with dramatic advances in food enhancements, growth acceleration, preservation and delivery, the ability to produce and provide better than subsistence level nutrition was becoming feasible. The spectre of third world families on drought stricken expanses might finally have been poised for extinction and purged from modern memory and history.
And while the eyes of proud western civilizations watched political walls collapse and treaties signed, then turned to focus on ‘humanitarian’ welfare and unprecedented technological and scientific maturation, it seemed as though a seal was loosed just a bit somewhere. Slowly a backwash began to seep in.
"Unusually active" hurricane seasons began to recur and became the norm. Several ...   more »
