In my book, Babylon or Jerusalem, I wrote that the Evil One hates a sound dose of patriotism (love for one's nation) as nationhood reminds him of how God thwarted his evil design - during the time of the building of the tower of Babel - to unite the whole of mankind in rebellion against God and His commandments. 
It was therefore God who authored nationhood by giving each group its own language. 
Today we see an intense effort by many philosophers, educators and politicians to erase this God-willed barrier of nationhood in order to unite mankind again as a grey, colorless mass, in essence against the Creator and His standards. The New Age movement is one of the leading proponents of this, emphasizing as it does that we are all essentially citizens of this global village and that we must relate to one another, not based on the narrow concept of nationhood or religion, but on the fact that we are all co-citizens of this one, united planet. 
Thus is nationality and nationhood increasingly belittled in favor for what one day soon will become a truly new world order under a one world government which will cause every man and woman to be inscribed as a citizen of that newly-united world. And this will be to the delight of Satan, who will thus seek to erase the barrier of nationhood God raised up against him during the time of Babel. 
In this context the recent remark of Dutch Princess Maxima, wife of Crown Prince Willem Alexander, to the effect that The Netherlands has no distinctive Dutch character or culture has opened the way for Holland to become a non-descript nation in which Turks, Moroccans and many others can live as equals without the slightest need to relate to the culture and character of their newly-chosen nation. 
This all goes to show that we are speedily entering a time when nationhood will essentially be a thing of the past - to the delight of Satan who has his own unchanged design to unite all the world under him and his Antichrist and against its Creator. 
How soon this will be, when we see what is happening today in our world and age, bringing us to that time already foretold and described in the Bible, when it says: 
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.   (Revelation 13:1-3) 
Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  (Revelation 13:6-8) 
Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people-- saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." And another angel followed, saying, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  (Revelation 14:6-10) 
"God, by giving them each a different language, caused them to be scattered as separate nations across the earth. Satan knows that if he wants to reign fully over humanity, he has to find a way to overcome this barrier of nationality used by God to di­vide a once united mankind." (p.3)

The world is not likely to unite (willingly) behind a com­mon ideology or a super-government. The only hope is that it will now respond to a common concern for its own survi­val. Today the Atlantic framework is too narrow to encom­pass the multitude of challenges-and opportunities-that confront the international community. It is a recognition of this reality to propose that the active promotion of such trilateral cooperation must now become the central priority of U.S. policy." (p.16)

An end-run around national sovereignty eroding it piece-by-piece will accomplish more than the old-fashioned frontal assault." (p.17)
"Adam Weishaupt, founder of the notorious Illuminati, a secret society created on May 1,1776, wrote,
With the origin of nations and peoples the world ceased to be a great family...." (p.19)

Today the choice lies before the little nation of Israel as to which way her people want to go: 
Either to be part of this rapidly developing new world order and, as a price, forsaking much of their distinctive Jewish character, or to be first and foremost their God's people in His land. 
Either to be an Israeli gentile-oriented and practicing nation, or to be in the midst of fallen and decadent mankind His people and His light, streaming out from Zion into the increasingly darkened world - a people who have predominantly chosen to be His!
