Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) - Israeli lawmakers have honored Christian groups in Jerusalem, for their work among needy Israelis. At a gathering on Sunday, the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus (KCAC) and the World Jewish Congress highlighted the
importance of Jewish-Christian relations. "The World
Jewish Congress sees the Christian community worldwide as natural
allies in our struggle against anti-Semitism and hatred and in favor of
justice and freedom," Bobby Brown, executive director of the WJC, said
in a statement. KCAC and WJC gave thanks to Bridges for Peace,
Christian Friends of Israel, the East Gate Foundation, Christian
Friends of Israeli Communities and the International Christian Embassy
Jerusalem for their participation in a joint project, which donated and
distributed school bags with school supplies to 16,000 Israeli first
graders. ICEJ Executive Director Malcolm Hedding said that projects
like this had helped thousands of Israelis. "We look forward to a
growing relationship with positive consequences for the people of
Israel," Hedding said. Christian Zionist groups bring thousands of
tourists and pilgrims to Israel each year. They support Israel's right
to the Biblical Land of Israel.Read Article
