Reports coming from multiple sources, but largely suppressed by the mainstream media, indicate that the army, and to a lesser extent police forces, are facing the prospect of massive failures of soldiers and officers to carry out orders on "The Day of the Order" to evict Jews from their homes. idf
How could it be otherwise? These young men have been educated and trained to defend innocent people and, specifically, to defend the families of Gaza and Samaria from terrorist attacks. Now they are being asked to expel them from their homes, destroy their homes and synagogues, and hand over their communities to those who terrorized them.
This is not, first and foremost, an issue of refusal to carry out orders, an act of defiance. It is an issue of a young soldier of officer's constitutional inability to execute the dirty work of tearing men, women, and children from their homes.

View Article  Most families in northern Gaza settlements agree to leave

The evacuation of the northern West Bank settlements of Ganim and Kadim was completed on Monday evening. Residents of the two mostly secular settlements gradually left of their homes in recent weeks, and on Monday the last families moved out.
Security forces handed evacuation orders to the nine families which remained in the settlements, and they all agreed to leave peacefully. Eight families left the settlements during the day, and the last family was expected to leave Ganim later this evening.
Before their departure, the residents of Kadim held a ceremony and vowed to return to the place. gaza
Israel Defense Forces were taking position in both settlements, which will not be razed until after the government's vote next week.
In the remaining northern Samaria settlements of Homesh and Sa-Nur, a bastion of resistance to the pullout, security forces left Monday after residents refused to accept the evacuation orders

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz declared Monday that since the Disengagement Implementation Law went into effect at midnight Sunday, everything was going as expected.
By 2:00 p.m. soldiers finished distributing eviction notices in Dugit, Nisanit and Pe'at Sadeh. In the Gaza settlements of Atzmona, Katif and Netzer Hazani, the army reached an agreement with the settlers by which notices were given to the settlements' secretariat to distribute. At 3:30, Morag and Gan Or had also received the decrees.

Opinions I Disengagement In Depth
Police said that by the end of the day Monday, they expected the northern Gaza settlements of Elei Sinai, Nisanit and Dugit and the southern Gaza settlement of Pe'at Sadeh to have emptied. Altogether, roughly 1,850 live in those four settlements. In those settlements, soldiers will spend the afternoon aiding the families in doing their final packing and transporting their belongings to their new homes and destinations.
