Shalom:

It is summer time once again. Last year we were able to send children to camp from the settlements of Samaria.

This year we want to double our efforts.

Camp for our children is a time they never forget, a time of fellowship, making new friends, and an essential part of growing up. The children in Israel have such resiliency, and their parents raise such wonderful children inspite of what is happening in their land. They too need a time to get away, and escape from political situation and be children without the everyday fears of war.
 
These children, who always have to put up a brave front, are really deeply worried about their lives and that of their families. Camp means so much to them. It is their time to relax, be happy and become whole again. They carry the memories of their camp experiences with them wherever they go, all year long. Can you imagine what swimming in a safe camp pool means for a child, who is afraid to take a shower at night for fear of being caught naked in a terrorist  Attack?

Parents pay only $75 per child. This is all we can ask from these hard pressed, idealistic people living in a real war zone. But we need another $150, because the camp really costs  us $225 per child. Some children also need full scholarships.
 
Any donations is tax deductible. No amount is too small. The Battalion will send 100% of all donations to assure as many children as possible can go to this camp.
