Caroline Glick ,
Iran is just a heartbeat away from the A-bomb.Last Friday the Daily Telegraph reported Teheran has surreptitiously removed a sufficient amount of uranium from its nuclear production facility in Isfahan to produce six nuclear bombs. Given Iran's already acknowledged uranium enrichment capabilities, the Telegraph's report indicates that the Islamic Republic is now in the late stages of assembling nuclear bombs.
It would be a simple matter for Iran to assemble those bombs without anyone noticing. US spy satellites recently discovered what the US believes are covert nuclear facilities in Iran. The mullocracy has not disclosed these sites to the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, which is charged with inspecting Iran's nuclear sites.
As to the IAEA, this week it presented its latest report on Teheran's nuclear program to its board members in Vienna. The IAEA's report claimed that Iran has taken steps to enable its Shihab-3 ballistic missiles to carry nuclear warheads. With their range of 1,300 kilometers, Shihab-3 missiles are capable of reaching Israel and other countries throughout the region.
In support of its swiftly progressing nuclear program, Iran has escalated both its conventional military and terroristic adventurism. It has also ratcheted up its diplomatic assault ...   more »

Iranian leader announces 'idea of Greater Israel has expired, and idea of Lesser Israel has expired too'; adds Tehran cooperated with IAEA with 'full transparency' and agency's report confirms Islamic republic's 'peaceful drive' for nuclear energy

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the UN Nuclear watchdog had no legal right to consider material alleging Iran wanted the atom bomb, and that an IAEA report proved Tehran's peaceful intent, Press TV reported on Thursday.

UN nuclear watchdog agency presents evidence indicating Tehran tried to modify Shahab-3 missile cone to fit nuclear payload. Chief US representative to agency says material put forward at meeting appears 'credible,' while Iran slams claim as 'fabrication'     The Iranian leader also denounced Israel and once again refuted the Holocaust. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, he smirked at the notion of a "greater" Israel that would include occupied Palestinian territories.
Ahmadinejad said that while "some say the idea of Greater Israel has expired, I say the idea of a Lesser Israel has expired, too."
He also repeated previous anti-Israel comments, calling the Holocaust by Nazi Germany a "fake" and saying ...   more »
View Article  Abbas Confirms Jerusalem and "Refugees" On Negotiating Table
Add Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas to the sources confirming that Jerusalem and the return of Arabs who left Israel are topics of negotiations between Abbas and the Kadima Government.
Abbas told Haaretz:
"There are today five million Palestinian refugees whose forefathers were expelled from the area of Israel...we must talk about compromise and see to what numbers you can agree. We must talk about Israeli recognition of its responsibility for the refugee problem and then discuss the right of return in practice."
It is clear from his statements that any agreement with Israel will require Israel to accept Palestinians who left the Jewish State and to pay compensation to millions of Palestinians who want to see the end of Israel.

View Article  Livni stunned as Mofaz quits politics
Gil Hoffman ,
On her first day as Kadima's new leader, Tzipi Livni received a startling blow: Shaul Mofaz, whom she ended up beating in Wednesday's party primary by only 431 votes, announced that he was "taking a break" from political life.
A shocked Livni tried to reach Mofaz to persuade him to reconsider, but he refused to meet with her, aides said.
Mofaz, in a speech conceding the Kadima leadership race to Livni on Thursday evening at his campaign headquarters in Givatayim, said he was quitting the cabinet and the Knesset.
The decision was a surprise to even his closest advisers, and the ministers and MKs who sat next to him also appeared to be stunned as he made the announcement.
"The time has come for me to take a break," he said. "I want to consider my future and different ways that I can contribute to Israeli society, the state and my family. I am not requesting a position or rank in the government or the Knesset. I will remain a Kadima member and do everything in my power for the party."

View Article  'Samples from alleged Syrian nuclear site don't back US claims'
Partial results of samples from a Syrian site bombed by Israel show nothing to back up US assertions that the target was a secret nuclear reactor, diplomats said Saturday.
The diplomats cautioned that the results from the International Atomic Energy Agency probe are preliminary because findings of more detailed environmental tests are still outstanding.
Still, two of the three who spoke to The Associated Press said that IAEA officials did not expect the results from the samples still being tested to strongly contradict the first results.
All three diplomats were informed of the status of the IAEA probe but

Zohir Hamdan from east Jerusalem throws his hat into the mayoral race for Jerusalem. His message to voters is one of hope, but he says if elected he won't allow gays to march through capital
Ronen Medzini
Even though the election is a few months away, the race for the position of mayor of Jerusalem is becoming more and more interesting. In addition to the two main candidates, Nir Barkat and Meir Porush, a new, some would say surprising, face has entered – a Palestinian candidate by the name of Zohir Hamdan.
Hamdan, 53, the mukhtar (head) of the east Jerusalem village of Tzur Baher who is married to three wives and is the proud father of 18, announced his candidacy on Wednesday. In an interview to Ynet he says: "I was married to a Jewish woman from Tel Aviv, but we divorced about three years ago". His name has been mentioned before as a possible mayoral candidate, but according to Hamdan, those were just speculations; this time, its official.
