Some very exciting things have been happening for the Battalion of Deborah and Fort Victory Church, which my husband Keith and has pastored for the past seven years. God has given us an exciting NEW VISION for our church and for a new ministry center that will enable us to bring the message of Israel to our community in a greater way!
I would like to share this VISION with you, but first I’ll introduce you to Fort Victory Church. It is a small country church located on a 3-acre parcel of land in a peaceful rural setting between Joshua and Godly, Texas. For many years we have been busy reaching out to meet the physical as well as spiritual needs of our community through our Benevolence and Food Ministries. Fort Victory volunteers alternate weekends with a neighboring church to distribute food to 75 to 150 needy families.
Fort Victory Church believes in providing solid bible-based teaching and training on the significance of Israel in the last days and teaches it members how to read current events in light of biblical prophecy. In keeping with our mission of providing for the poor, we also support a Jewish family with seven children living in Israel.
Fort Victory members also actively support the Battalion of Deborah and provide tremendous volunteer staffing for our conferences and local events. These two ministries have worked closely through the years to help us fulfill God’s call on our lives individually and to fulfill His mandate to feed the poor within the local church community.
The Battalion of Deborah and Fort Victory Church are excited to announce our shared vision for building a new ministry center on the existing 3-acre parcel that includes a Welcome Center with Israel Gift Shop and an international center called The Circle of Grace.
This new
facility will provide much needed space to better involve more people
for the benefit of our community and for Israel. The Battalion has been
effective for many years serving Israel out of our homes however this
is like “walking a mile with cement shoes.” We are very excited about
being able to have new office and work spaces available! This new facility is not only a church, but is also a place where we can host speakers, educate people on their Hebraic roots and offer these courses to other area churches.
Phase One of our new vision for the church involves expanding our existing Food Ministry and providing increased storage capacity and an air-conditioned distribution site.
Phase Two of the vision for the church involves hiring an individual skilled in providing social services to help our church and community members return to the work force and regain self-respect.
Phase Three of our vision is a ministry to battered women, offering a six-month target plan of independent living and assistance for workforce re-entry.
Together, we also plan to sponsor youth trips to Israel as part of an interfaith mission-to instill a love for Israel, her people, and her God.
The ground level of our new building will include a multi-purpose auditorium, full-service kitchen, classrooms and audio-visual equipment for ministry needs and events. In the past we have had to turn down high profile speakers for lack of space. This new auditorium will accommodate the increasing needs of the church and provide valuable conference and meeting space for our ministry partners. The upper level of the building will be known as our international center with a suite of 5 rental offices called The Circle of Grace. The following offices have been spoken for: The Battalion of Deborah, Covenant Alliances, Tarshish (which sponsor the Christian Allies Caucus), and MK Rabbi Ben Elon’s Heart Land to Heart Land southwest office. Rabbi Elon’s decision to put his office at the Circle of Grace is very exciting for us as his book, “God’s Covenant With Israel, ” is the direction we have taken for the past ten years.

The Circle of Grace office spaces will operate independently of the church, but will have use of the facilities for their meetings and special events. The Circle of Grace will need to hire someone skilled in administrative coordination to oversee the daily business of the center such as planning and coordinating events, and to provide the staffing services needed by the office occupants. We will need approximately $350,000 to make this new building a reality!
This vision is a trust God has given us, for the days in which we live call for visionaries to step forth “for such a time as this”. We hope you will catch our vision and desire to be a part of what God is doing to “feed the poor” and “increase the church’s awareness of the issues and needs related to Israel in these last days’”.
We are looking for financial partners that will stand with us and say YES, we will help you! We believe in the work you are doing in your community to educate others about the church’s responsibility to stand with and support Israel! We realize that many today are looking the other way!
We invite you to visit the Battalion of Deborah website at: www.battalionofdeborah.com or e-mail our Project Manager, Cheryl Kippen, at cheryl.fvc@sbcglobal.net at Fort Victory Church if you want to know more about how you can become involved in helping us build this new ministry center.
We pray you will stand with us in prayer and in financial giving! In so doing, you are saying that you understand that the church has a responsibility to be a voice for the poor and for Israel in these days!
Thank you in advance for your generous support of this project.
Shalom & blessings,
Jodie Anderson, Director
Keith Anderson, Pastor
