Israel’s exeistence disproves Christian Replacement Theology

Ryan Jones In an article published in a local Israeli newspaper around the time of Israel’s 65th Independence Day, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Har-Noy puzzled over the fact that there are still so many Bible-believing Jews who refuse to celebrate the Jewish state’s modern rebirth. “Perhaps these dear Jews missed the words of Rabbi Yosef Dov Soloveitchik in his wonderful speech ‘Kol Dodi Dofek’ (The Voice of My Beloved Knocks),” mused Har-Noy. Soloveitchik, a Boston-based rabbinical leader and one of the msot renowned of modern Jewish philosophers, delivered a powerful public address in 1956 on the occasion of Israel’s eighth Independence…

Crowd stunned after valedictorian rips up speech, recites Lord’s prayer

A South Carolina valedictorian garnered wild applause after he ripped up his pre-approved speech and delivered the Lord’s prayer at his high school graduation on Saturday. The act was apparently in protest of the Pickens County School District’s decision to no longer include prayer at graduation ceremonies, Christian News reported. Officials said the decision was made after the district was barraged with complaints by atheist groups. But that didn’t stop Roy Costner IV of Liberty High School. He ripped up his graduation speech for all to see, before he started talking about his Christian upbringing, Christian News reported. “Those that…

Obama administration’s war on persecuted Christians

Obama administration’s war on persecuted Christians

by Raymond Ibrahim The Obama administration's support for its Islamist allies means a lack of U.S. support for their enemies or, more properly, victims—the Christian and other non-Muslim minorities of the Muslim world. Consider the many recent proofs: According to Pete Winn of CNS: The U.S. State Department removed the sections covering religious freedom from the Country Reports on Human Rights that it released on May 24, three months past the statutory deadline Congress set for the release of these reports. The new human rights reports—purged of the sections that discuss the status of religious freedom in each of the…

Slaughter of Christians a misunderstanding

Slaughter of Christians a misunderstanding

By Steve Peacock The violence in northern Nigeria is mistakenly viewed as a religious conflict rather than simply a tribal dispute over land, according to the Obama administration. Despite the ongoing Muslim destruction of churches and the slaughter of Christians – including many murdered during worship services – the U.S. Agency for International Development claims that the misunderstandings make it difficult to administer aid programs. USAID, therefore, has launched a program titled Project PEACE – an acronym for Programming Effectively Against Conflict and Extremism. PEACE says it will hire contractors to help the agency analyze the “true” causes of conflict…

British Govt. says Christians don’t have right to wear crucifix at work

By Todd Starnes The British government believes that Christians do not have the right to wear a crucifix at work because the wearing the cross is not a “requirement of the faith.” That’s the position the government is taking in a case pitting British Airways against two women who claimed they were punished for refusing to take off their religious symbols. Nadia Eweida and Shirley Chaplin claim they were discriminated against after British Airways banned them from wearing a cross and a crucifix. The European Court of Human Right will determine if the right to wear a cross is protected…

Why are such a large number of youth leaving the church?

Why are such a large number of youth leaving the church?

New research by the Barna Group finds they view churches as judgmental, overprotective, exclusive and unfriendly towards doubters. They also consider congregations antagonistic to science and say their Christian experience has been shallow. The findings, the result of a five-year study, are featured in "You Lost Me: Why Young Christians are Leaving Church and Rethinking Faith," a new book by Barna president David Kinnaman. The project included a study of 1,296 young adults who were current or former churchgoers. Researchers found that almost three out of five young Christians (59 percent) leave church life either permanently or for an extended…
